WELCOME TO FIREHUT
A company born from our love and passion for outdoor living and bringing indoor living outside characterfully. We built the first ever Firehut at our family home and its become a real haven for us. We've used our Firehut more than we could ever have imagined and everyone who enjoyed the Firehut experience with us wanted their own. Hence Firehut as a company was born.
The beauty of these Firehuts is that they are hand crafted, bespoke and created using reclaimed wood sourced exclusively from all over the UK, oozing character with their variety. Our distinctive Firehuts have reclaimed timber on the exterior and are, uniquely, clad on the interior with up to 100 year old wood. This interior cladding has been sourced from old barns we have bought and dismantled, Stately homes, Victorian houses, old docks and pontoons, mooring posts, various marinas and sea fronts, lock gates, church flooring and even a disused submarine base. We keep it all locally sourced and reclaimed to reduce travel miles, transport costs and environmental impact.
Some clients have added storage sheds, offices, showers and hot tubs to compliment their Firehuts. Some have had the roof edging and cinema screen frame done in carbon fibre.
No two Firehuts are the same. The wood adds spectacular character at all times. By day the wood is beautiful to look at and at night the light bounces off the uneven surfaces casting mesmerising shadows across the walls.
These outdoor spaces can be used for chilling out, dining, yoga, table-tennis, cinema, teenage hangout, or simply your morning coffee. They are the perfect escape and entertaining area, 365 days a year. From the cool shade in a heatwave to a bottle of red in front of the woodburner and heaters (in your shorts!) while the snow falls. They have canvas window sides that can be rolled down to keep the warmth in and bad weather out as and when you need, but can easily be rolled up again to keep the indoor outdoor feel.
